ISA-Certified Arborist in Central Florida
We needed three giant laurel oaks taken out because they were all dying. Mike and his company were great for this difficult job and we could not be happier with the professionalism of his team.

Branch Management Tree Care is the BEST! They have top notch equipment and a team of professionals that are hard working experts and do not leave your property less then PERFECT
Carmela Loppolo
Mike arrived to provide an estimate to remove 3 major trees and 2 scrub oaks damaged during our last hurricane. He clearly explained, and showed me the exact problem. Two other companies failed to even notice that the largest tree was being held up by 2 other trees. He needed to bring in all the heavy equipment. My shed was in the way, and Mike offered to help move my shed for free.
You will never find a more honest and trustworthy individual. They did an excellent job removing everything, not one problem. Branch Management does things by the book in a friendly manner. It was relaxing to know he has all the proper insurance, especially knowing 3 of my trees could have fallen on my roof.
Thank you to the entire team at Branch Management. I am certain to call Mike and his team again!
Thank you Mike for understanding that each customer their own unique situations, and working with them!

Credentials and Professional Qualifications
Michael Mackiewicz
Owner | Consulting Arborist
I am an ISA Certified Arborist and Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) professional with over 42 years of hands-on experience in arboriculture, large-scale tree removal, and tree risk evaluation throughout Central Florida.
My career began in the late 1970's, and I assumed ownership of Branch Management Tree Care in the late 1980's. Since that time, I have worked extensively with residential clients, commercial property manager, municipalities, and insurance representatives. I provide objective, risk based assessments and recommendations grounded in industry standards and real-world experience.
Professional Credentials
- ISA Certified Arborist - FL-0471
- ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) - completed 2022
- Tree Risk Assessment performed in accordance with ISA TRAQ Level 2 Protocols
- Over 42 years of professional arboricultural experience
Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ)
The ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) is a professional qualification program developed by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). This program trains and qualifies arborists to assess tree risk using a standardized, systematic process that evaluates:
- Likelihood of tree or limb failure
- Likelihood of impact to targets
- Consequences of failure
All tree risk assessments are performed using ISA-approved risk matrices and documented visual observations in accordance with TRAQ methodology.
Scope of Assessments
Tree risk assessments are conducted as Level 2 visual inspections from the ground, unless otherwise specified. Evaluations may include, but are not limited to:
- Structural defects and growth patterns
- Lean, load distribution, and canopy imbalance
- Signs of decay, fungal activity, or compromised wood
- Root plate and soil conditions
- Target occupancy and exposure
- Environmental and site-related risk factors
Recommendations are made based on observable, documentable conditions at the time of inspection.
Professional Approach & Objectivity
I serve as a neutral third-party assessor. I am not an advocate for either tree preservation or tree removal. My role is to identify risk, explain findings clearly, and provide recommendations based on established arboricultural standards.
I am not a structural engineer, roofer, or geotechnical professional. Assessments are limited to arboricultural observations and do not constitute guarantees regarding future tree performance or storm outcomes.
Standards & References
All evaluations and recommendations are guided by:
- ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) methodology
- ANSI A300 pruning standards (when applicable)
- Applicable Florida statutes, including F.S. 163.045
- Industry best practices for arboricultural risk management
Experience That Matters
With more than four decades in the field, my background includes:
- Large, complex tree removals
- Crane-assisted operations
- Municipal and commercial risk evaluations
- Insurance-related assessments
- Consulting for high-value and high-risk properties
This practical experience informs every assessment and allows for realistic, experience-based recommendations—not theoretical ones.
